Introducing REPOSIT – Our Federal Digital Repository Service
quietPresence offers REPOSIT – a cloud delivered digital repository service designed to enable federal agencies to quickly establish branded public facing portals for digital content. The REPOSIT service offering was created to help increase the ability of the public to easily find, download, and use datasets that are generated and held by the Federal Government, as a digital repository platform we enable federal agencies to:
- Capture and describe digital assets via a web based submission workflow process.
- Capture and describe digital assets using automated or bath process via an application programming interface (API).
- Publish an agency’s digital assets over the web through a search and retrieval system.
- Preserve digital assets for as long as needed.
There are over 1,000 digital repositories using the same core components embedded in REPOSIT. These core components are instrumental in managing digital content and enabling digital preservation; storing any type of content; and providing workflows for content submission and review. Globally, these components represent the most widely using digital repository platform for large institutions and open access projects in the world.
